Which Maori Game
My favourite Maori game is Horo hopu. Because it involves alot of people to play and you use a poi. One of the rules are you have to have the the poi swinging at all times the only time is when you are swinging it to another person in your team. The second rule is you have to do quick passes if you don't the poi will be given to the other team.

I think that you have chosen a great game. I am doing my best to learn how to use poi. My son, Aronui, is teaching me but I'm a little bit slow...
Have you had the chance to play with poi at school? I hope that you and your classmates are all having a great time back at Ruapotaka this year. I'm really looking forward to coming into school soon to hand out the certificates and prizes for the Summer Learning Journey programme!
