Which fashion style would you prefer to wear?

For me I would prefer having the styles in these days clothes because it increases a lot of colours. The style in these days are very different compared to the styles in the 1940's.  If it was 65 years from now people would be wearing probably high jeans and a off shoulder top. That's what I prefer.

If I Had A VE Day

If I had a VE day party I would invite all of  friend and all of my family to my house. The things we would do inside is we would have a lot of iPad and laptops to play games on  and do whatever. Outside in the back we would have a very big barbecue and boys and girls playing rugby and in the front a basketball court to play basketball.

When I'm Stress

When I'm stress I go into my room and lay down on my bed and try to fall asleep but when I'm stress a lot I go on my laptop and watch a movie. So that's my opinion on when I'm stress.

What My Opinion About Gold Rush

What I think about Gold Rush is it is recommended for old people and most old people like watching movies like Gold Rush. Gold Rush is about Charlie  Chaplin found a girl and he fall in love with her. So that's my opinion on what I  think gold rush is about.

What I think about Saudi Arabia not letting women vote until 2015 is not fair because women should have the right to vote when ever they want. Saudi Arabia should have let women vote a long long time a go.  So that is my decision on why People should or shouldn't let women vote.

Which Maori Translation Waiata Should I Chose

The waiata I choose was the Maramataka. I liked it because it had a nice beat in the song and because it had an nice flow to it.

My favourite Maori game is Horo hopu. Because it involves alot of people to play and you use a poi. One of the rules are you have to have the the poi swinging at all times the only time is when you are swinging it to another person in your team. The second rule is you have to do quick passes if you don't the poi will be given to the other team.

Kutai Fritters

Today I was reading a book called Kutai Fritters. It was about a family going fishing for Kutais. The childen were helping their mum and dad by helping get prepared. After they were prepared they got their things and start walking to the beach to fish for the Kutai. When they were finish they went home and ate the Kutai.

Manaiakalani Film Festival 2017

On the 8th of November all of Ruapotaka School went to the Manaiakalani film festival in Sylvia Park Hoyts. We went by a bus and we needed three buses to go in the Sylvia Park Hoyts. When we arrived we didn't have to walk a long way. Then we had to go and sit in a little space under the steirs for going into the Hoyts by the alavater. Then we saw some other schools walking down the steirs from Hoyts.
Then it was time for us to go into Hoyts .When we got into Hoyts we went into cinema 2. We were inside the cinema with St. Pius and the presenters from all the schools in the Manaiakalani progrem. Then we had to find our sits I was in sit 26g next to my friend Faye. We watched 12 films made by all of the schools in the manaiakalani progrem. My favourite film that we watched was Tamki Colleges the Driving Lesons. When it was finished we all came back to school and went home.

Finding shapes in buildings

For reading I had to to look at building and see we types of shapes I couuld find on the buildings. These are are the different shapes and buildings I found online. Some of the shapes were the same as the other buildings. Some of the buildings you will notice that there are some shapes if you can zoom in but these are the shapes that I could find.

How We Made Our Volcano

We made a volcano and we all had to bring one of the thing that we needed. I brang the dirt or sand and Miss Misela brang the vinegar, baking soda, red food colouring and a small container. Because the others forgot to brang the vinegar, baking soda and red food colouring. Then we got the dirt or sand and we added some water and we formed it into a mountain. Then we got the small container and used it to make a crater on the top of the mountain. Then we got a cup and filled it half-way with the baking soda. We got an other container and we put a small bit of vinegar

How To Make A Volcano

What you need:

sand or dirtan small eggcup or an small containervingarbaking sodared food colouring
Step 1

First you will need to get the sand ro dirt and make a mountain with it.
Step 2

Next use your fingers to make a crate in the top of the mountain.
Step 3

Fill the egg cup or small container half way full and then put it into the crate.
Step 4

Then mix the vingar and the fod colouring in a different container and then pour it into the baking soda in the crate.
Step 5

Then watch the magic happen.

My Family

This is my family and my family is always surpporting and if you need them they all be there for you. Sometime they are funny and they can crack jokes but whats more special about my family is that we all love eachother the same. When I see them everyday I feel very thamkful and greatful the I have a family because if not I would be like those other kids that don't have homes, so if you have families be very thankful that you have one. We all are tongan.

Reading 'Preparing For The Pola'

Today I was reading a book about how Tongans get prepared for a pola. The pola was for Amelia's cousin Elisapesi's twenty-first birthday so everyone in the village had to help make food. They all woke up early to get the food prepared. The food they made was faikakai, lu pulu, ota ika, puaka, sapa sui, breadfruit, yams, kumala, talo and other food.

Re-writing the Legend of Maui

Long long ago there was a boy called Maui and he was walking around in the forest. Then some men just appeared from no where and they asked Maui "Do you want powers?" and he replied "Yes". Then the men started saying weird things and a weird feeling came to Maui. 

When he went home he found a great big hook and he picked it up. The moment he touched the hook he was high up in the air. Then he touched it again and he fell flat on the ground. He thought he was going to tell his siblings about his new hook.

He heard his siblings moaning about how fast the days were going because the sun was running fast across the world. Maui decided to go to the east and go with his brothers. The next day he got his things prepared. 

It was still dark in the morning when he transformed into an eagle and his brother got on his back and they took off to the east. When they got there they found some flax on the ground and they decided to make a net out of it and then Maui used his magical hook to make the net stronger. 

When the sun came out they waited until the sun was in the right position and then they put the net over the sun. They got the sun then he said to the sun "You have to walk around the earth because people don't have enough time to do things so you have to walk or else I will come back and hurt you with my hook."  The sun agreed to walk instead of run around the earth and then they let the sun go. 

Later on that day they went back home and everyone had time to do what they wanted and everyone lived happily ever after.

Reading Summing Up Dad

Today my reading group and I were reading a story call 'Summing Up Dad' it was about a dad and his children. The dad was acting every week as a different person like on one week he pretender be William Shakes spears. Then on the next day he was pretending to be a french mathematician. Then the next day he part out instructions for the kids to follow. The instructions was about measuring. 

We Happened On Christmas 2016

On Christmas 2016 last year I was in Australia at my uncle's house. My sisters, cousins, aunty, uncle and my mum and I. We all went to the living room.

On Christmas morning my two sisters, my two cousins, my aunty, my uncle and my mum and I we all woke up. My sisters and my cousins and I we all ran into the living room with excitement on our faces.

At first I thought that I was going to only get one present. But my prediction was wrong I reserved more then I thought. One of the presents I got have the mini donut maker I felt so happy to get it because I loved caking.


Then we had to get ready to go to church. After we all got into me uncles  car and we all put on our sit belt and then my uncle started driving his  car. Then eventually we got there and we all got out and my mum took my sisters, my cousin and me to our kids class. Then my mom went to my uncle and aunty and my little cousin went to her babies class. Then my mum and my uncle and aunty went into church.


Later on that day after church we all went back home to get change. Then we all went to a restaurant for lunch with some of our church friends. I didn't now what the restaurant was called but it was one of those restaurants that cook their food in front of you. I was tried of waiting so I decided to go and play with my friend from church.  The food was so yummy but that wasn't all. The best part of all  was the desert it felt like I was in heaven. Then we all went home and had a happy Christmas evening.

The Time I Went To The Easter Show 🐇

My Favourite Memory

When I was with my two auntie's Prisila and Charlotte and my little cousin 'Moses', at the Easter show. I did not know what the Easter show was but my aunties said that I known that what the Easter show was but really I did so I just pretended to. First we were to get some tickets so we had play some games or go on some rides. Then we found the place to buy tickets in but there was a great big line so we just went in the and then eventually we got to the deck and we brought seven tickets. So we first went to look for some games or rides that cost seven tickets then we found a ride.


The ride was like cars attached to a marital thing in the medal of the area. My aunty Charlotte gave the seven tickets to the person who was controlling it the ride and I went and got into one of the car things when every body got into the ride stated spinning. At first it was okay but when it started going to fast I started to have a tummy ache, then when it was finish I my tummy ache was a bit better and I felt happy because the ride stopped and I got a bit dizzy. Then I got out and I went to my auntie's and my cousin.
Then we went to look for a spot to eat at eventually we found a spot, then we got out our food and we started eating.

After we finished eating we packed up our things and we went to see a car show and there was a motor circle and someone was on it and the person did a flip and it was so cool and awesome. After the car show was over the Easter show started and it was so cutie to show because there was some babies dressed up in bunny colostrum and it was so cutie.The the show was over and we went to a flea market and there was a fourchon taller there and my aunties wanted to stop by and watch what happened and it was boring to me because I just had to look after my little cosine Moses. Then after my aunties finished watching we all went home to my aunty's house.

Welcome Back To School

Welcome  back I missed blogging in the holidays and now its a new term. I hope you guys had a fun and happy holiday, hope you guys are ready for a exciting and fun term. My goal this term is to try focus on my reading because I want to go up a level.

What Is A Fidget Spinner?

This is a fidget spinner and it is basically a toy that has three bolts and can spin. There are different kinds of fidget spinners like the batman one, galaxy fidget, captain america and many more. Some glow in the dark or light up in the dark.

The senior skip off

Straight after the ball in the senior block had to get ready for the skip off. The students that were entered in the senior skip off had to face each other. When it got up to the final three everyone was exicted to see who would come third, second and first.  In third place was Meana from room 12 then Fakaola from room 10 which is my class and in first place it was Kotipi from room 9.  At the end they all had to go and take a photo for our first, second and third places.

Massive Volcano Erupts In Mexico

Today the Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico has erupted, throwing ash, water and gas into the air. The eruption has made an ash cloud that reaches 2,000 metres above the volcano's crate. That’s more than five times the height of the Empire State Building in New York!. A huge crater is created on top of the volcano after the first eruption blows the top of it off.  People living nearby have been given advice about how to protect themselves from the ash.  There are more than 3,000 volcanoes in Mexico, but only 14 are considered to be active.

Reading about kites

I was reading a book about kites. In my book I read that there was a Kite festival in Napier and the worlds biggest kite was there. Dozens of people came to help and hold the kite down before it flies away. There where a late of people that came with their kites to fly it and see witch kite would stay in the air longest. There where different shapes and sizes of kites.There was one kite that was called a stunters kite it flow so fast it was the fastest kite at the kite festival. 

Having fun with St Kents

Today some St.Kents boys came to Raupotaka to teach rooms 12, 10,9 and some of room 7. We all had to split up into 3 groups. My group we had 2 boys from St.Kents their names where Caleb and Pasie. My group was learning about touch we used tags in the games. We had fun playing with the St.Kents boys and had fun working together.

Fare well Dominic

Yesterday we were saying Goodbye to one of the most important members in room 10 that was Dominic. He was a great person to the whole class and he was like a leader to all of our class mates. He was a cool, funny and he loved the Lord. I hope he has a wonderful time going to a new school.

My Anzac Cinquain Poem

Making a Raft

We Are Learning to explain the order of events in a text.

In Goosebumps we made a raft out of sticks, flax and some string. Dominic and Kain worked on the sail. The sail was made out of flax and Leanah, Konzay and I made the raft out of the sticks and the flax but the flax was thin. After that we made it we put it together and it made a raft.

When you get bitten by a pests

WALT to explain what happens before and after you are bitten by an insect.

I heard a buzzing like a mosquito. It zoomed across my face as if it was a flash of lightning. I tried not to move so it wouldn’t bite me. Then it went around me a lot of times like a roller coaster. I started to worry because it would bite me if it landed on me.

Firstly when you get bitten you start to itch a little and you might think that the bite is infected like as if it was carrying the zika virus or other viruses. It is painful to get bitten by an insect. Did you know why they bite you? They bite you because we humans are warm blooded and they like warm blood.

Secondly mosquitoes have six legs so three legs on each side. Mosquitoes have a very skinny body. Skinny like your our small finger. They are so small you can’t even see them. Mosquitoes have a small body but a large face.

Thirdly how to prevent pest from coming to your house? Don’t leave the doors open for too long especially at night because mosquitoes and other insects can come into your house.

Keep doing it and you’ll have a self and healthy home!

Hi! today I was checking if I could tell the time and the results were that I can read time. If you can not read time then you need to ask someone to teach you how to  read the time or practice at home.

Flowers Forever

Hi yesterday I went outside to get some flowers for my flower collage and does are the flowers I found in our school gardens. The first flower I got was the little yellow daises, I got 5 of them then I got little red flowers from room 9's garden so as the big yellow flower. The little green  leaves were from room 10's garden so as the big branch that looks like a tree but mini and that is how I got my flowers.

My school life

Hi my name is Tupou and I am in room 10 at Ruapotaka Primary school. I am 9 years old and I am the oldest granchild in my family. I feel happy to be back at school because I didn't do much at home during the summer holiday. I am enjoying swimming right now because we are learning new skills that will help us be confident swimmers in beaches, pools and other swimming places. I like maths because I learn how to use different strategies to solve one problem and when I get the answer right it makes me proud. I am excited for the rest of the year!
